As of the end of 2019, 229 designated consumers are implementing the Energy Conservation Law. They consume 40% of Mongolia's electricity.
In 2019, 34 consumers in the energy sector have implemented 400 different types of activities and measures to save 48.1 million kWh of electricity, 44.6 thousand Gcal of thermal energy or 4.8 billion MNT. Since 2018, 81.3 million kWh of electricity and 105.4 thousand Gcal of thermal energy have been saved, or 12.1 billion MNT in monetary terms.
As for other designated consumers, 18.5 million kWh of electricity and 19.6 million kWh of electricity and heat were saved in 2018, and 38.1 million kWh or 5.3 billion MNT was saved.
