Evaluated activities of designated consumers' 2019 reports

12/18/2020

The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has evaluated the Designated consumers' plan and its implementation of 2019 accordance with its responsibilities of the Energy Conservation and other relevant legislation.

The evaluation was based on criteria such as completion of the energy audit, the development and implementation of energy conservation programs and plans in accordance with the audit report, and the submission of reports and plans to the Energy Conservation Department.

A total of 129 Designated customers were evaluated, and 47% performed well. A letter was sent to the medium-sized organizations with recommendations on how to intensify the work in the field of economy and efficiency, to submit the report and plan in a timely manner, and to support the work of the energy saving manager. The state inspectors' formal letter were sent to the organizations that were assessed as unsatisfactory, those who were obligated under the law of designated consumers.

Summarize the evaluation:

Therefore, designated consumers shall fully fulfill the Article 10.2 of the Law on Energy Efficiency and follow the relationship regulated by the “Identifying designated consumers, energy conservation programs and plans of designated consumers, their development methodology and reporting on implementation”.

In the future, the Energy Regulatory Commission will annually evaluate the work and measures taken by the designated consumers in the field of energy conservation, and in case of “insufficient” assessment, it will take appropriate measures in accordance with Article 12.9 of the Law on Violations.
